I am in a spot where I can neither be what I always am nor turn into what I could be
for solo piano
2009, indeterminate length, ca. 20-60 minutes
This piece's structure is about uncertainty. It is always in between. The score is like a "choose your own adventure," designed so that the pianist can jump from one cell to another as per mood and musicality.
The title is a quotation from Claire Keegan's short story, Foster.
